Join artist Kate Daley of Quarantine, and Mia + Eric for a lively conversation about two distinct projects at GIFT 2025 - Building of Spines and In A Strange Place.
While both projects embed participants in their process, they have taken place over two very different time frames - one project has evolved over 5 years, while the other has unfolded over just 7 days in the lead up to GIFT.

Artist biographies
MIA & ERIC

​Mia & Eric are an award winning interdisciplinary artist team from Calgary, Canada. They bring together elements of craft, performance, and multi-species ethnography to create site-specific and socially-engaged art works. They have presented works about ecology and biodiversity internationally.

Founded in Manchester, England in 1998, Quarantine is an ensemble of artists and producers who are united by an interest in everyday life, working together to make ground-breaking performance and other public events, nationally and internationally. They’re internationally acclaimed for work that is intellectually rigorous, radical in form and uniquely human.
