If you like telling stories with moving pictures, why not Join Scott Turnbull and Tessa Parr to create your very own TEENY-TINY CINEMA.

​

Using music, puppetry and felt tip pens you’ll get the chance to create your very own teeny-tiny scene from your very own teeny-tiny film on a not so teeny-tiny Overhead Projector.

​

This workshop is designed for family groups, and participants will be required to work in pairs. 

Recommended for those aged 7+ and their families.

​

What you’ll do

  • Learn how to use an OHP

  • Basic story telling techniques 

  • Make some teeny tiny puppets

  • Devise a teeny-tiny script

  • Story board a teeny tiny scene

  • And act it out for a teeny-tiny audience.

    Want to pick and choose which events you attend? Individual performance tickets are available for each performance, priced between £12 and £8 for concessions. Individual workshop and panel discussion tickets are £5.

     

  • £20 family ticket (for up to 5 people) Looking for an affordable way to bring the whole family along? Our family ticket is £20 and allows entry for up to 5 people.
     

  • GIFT Festival Pass £50 (£40 early bird pass)
    This pass gives you access to ALL GIFT events happening across the festival. It's the best value if you want to see everything.

    Pro-tip: A limited number of early bird passes are available for only £40 in March, so grab yours before they're gone!
     

  • Pay What You Decide Tickets
    GIFT is committed to making the festival accessible to everyone. There's a "Pay What You Decide" option for every event. Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated and goes directly towards supporting artists, our community workshop programme and the future of the festival.


By attending GIFT, you're directly supporting the development and presentation of new artistic works in Gateshead.
