IN-PERSON GUIDED WALK
Join GIFT’s Festival Director, Kate Craddock and a dynamic group of artists who work across different artforms , for a creative - collective - walk.
Join GIFT’s Festival Director, Kate Craddock and a dynamic group of artists who work across different art forms, for a creative - collective - exploration of Gateshead Riverside Park and Sculpture Trail. This creative walk will be made up of a series of encounters with different artists, with each encounter designed to inspire and ignite ideas that will contribute towards a future performance project for GIFT along this site.
The walk will end at By The River Brew where we will be welcomed by local theatre company The Six Twenty for The Breakfast Club, a facilitated conversation in which you’ll be invited to share your experiences from the trail over a cuppa and a bite.
We ask participants to come with an open mind and to wear comfy shoes.
The walk is around 2 miles from The Swing Bridge to Dunston Staiths and back again, ending at By The River Brew.

TRAVEL UPDATE
There is a half marathon happening in Gateshead today. The run starts from 9am and lasts until 12pm and is happening along the Gateshead Quayside. There are several road closures, which may mean that you need to find an alternative route.
