Thursday 2nd May
Thursday marks the launch of the third ever GIFT. You are welcome to come along and join in with a workshop in the afternoon, and later to enjoy an installation while you wait for the evening events to get started. Don't miss out on the opportunity to celebrate the festival launch from 7pm which includes two performances by extraordinary artists from home and abroad.
Friday 3rd May
Friday kicks off with a choice of workshop activities, followed by the opportunity to hear festival artists talking all about their work in a lunchtime discussion event. Don’t miss an afternoon of GIFTed performances, and get down to Gateshead Old Town Hall for an evening of extraordinary works by artists from across the UK and from Spain.
Saturday 4th May
Saturday offers more workshops, discussions and performances, and there is an array of ways that you can get involved. Whether you join in with a participatory dance, enjoy a pint while watching a play, or rock the night away, this is a jam packed day designed to make sure you have a good time!
Sunday 5th May
Sunday sees GIFT reach its final day of performances and workshops, and there will be opportunities for audiences to see what workshop participants have been up to, either over lunch or as part of a pub quiz at the end of the night. The various performances and events on Sunday invite you to stand up for what you believe in, to celebrate your idols, and to think about fathers. Come along and help make sure GIFT goes out with a bang!
